New in the Exegenix Conversion System

The Exegenix Conversion Satellite

Providing even more flexibility for clients, Exegenix is now offering a new model for converting content to XML – the Exegenix Conversion Satellite. It’s deployed on an internal client/external server basis, for organizations that want full control over the entire conversion process, along with total scalability of their processing power.

The client organization interacts with their local Satellite user interface via fast LAN access; a central ECS Engine at Exegenix undertakes intensive content processing. This can significantly improve performance and workflow within the user’s environment, especially if the conversion workload is variable or unpredictable. A user can upload documents to be converted at any time, either individually, in zip files, or via an easy-to-use, browser-based file management interface. Automated conversion takes place at the remote cluster, then the user can locally review the output if required, and add value to the resultant XML if their workflow demands this process, working to their own timetable.

Alternatively, the Exegenix Conversion Satellite can be used to precisely configure data feeds in-house, and send specifications and post-conversion information to an outsource supplier for processing through to final output. From that point, the customer need not interact with the content at all, but can optionally collaborate with the conversion process if required.

This new offering rounds off a flexible range of options to address all conversion needs: from onsite deployment of the full Exegenix Conversion System, to a deployment of the Exegenix Conversion Satellite, right through to the full turnkey Exegenix Conversion Service – all leveraging our technology to provide accurate, fast, cost-effective, ready-to-load XML output.

For more information on what the ECS can do for your organization, visit our website at www.exegenix.com, or contact Steve Downie, VP Sales and Marketing, for a more detailed discussion.

Insider Information

Font obfuscation

Font obfuscation can be a significant issue during the conversion process. It is generally not identified until conversion is under way, and often the only recourse is to manually retype the document.

Now, Exegenix has developed breakthrough “de-obfuscation” technology, enabling the text of such documents to be automatically converted to XML without any re-keying.

Please contact Ryan Germann, Product Manager, if your current conversion methodology experiences difficulties with obfuscated fonts. Exegenix can help either you or your conversion supplier.

Launching

Exegenix XML Consultants program

Any consultant advising clients on implementing an XML infrastructure, an XML-based CMS, or a publishing system with XML content requirements, will be all too familiar with the limitations of current document conversion methodologies. A successful XML deployment can be hampered by the overwhelming task of converting volumes of legacy documents, and ongoing content conversion costs can be substantial.

Yet you can recommend a more comprehensive and cost-effective solution for your clients than manual conversion or scripting tools. Exegenix is committed to the fast, accurate, cost-effective migration of your clients’ legacy and ongoing content, and offers a flexible range of options to address all conversion needs – all leveraging our technology to provide accurate, fast, cost-effective, ready-to-load XML output.

We offer a referral fee for qualified leads, or commission on any business we close as a direct result of your recommendation. We also welcome your active involvement in such opportunities.

Please contact partners@exegenix.com for more information.
