Why Convert to XML?

Documents have been and will continue to be created in non–XML (i.e. unstructured) format e.g. word processors, publishing systems, etc.

If an organization is to fully streamline their operations around an XML-based system, converting existing legacy content to an XML data format is essential. Otherwise, this proprietary content will continue to be difficult to maintain, republish and index.
